Obligations Of Members

The Order of St Lazarus is a serving Order, where you will be expected to attend at least one meeting a year which could include local, national or international events. Spouses, family members and guests are invited to attend, bringing additional exposure of the good works of the membership to the world. The Toronto Commandery conducts an Annual General Meeting, usually in late January or early February as well as organizes and hosts numerous ecumenical, social, and charitable events.

Each member is asked to participate actively, according to ability, in the Hospitaller work for the sick, the disabled, the elderly and all who are in need. This involves the giving of services and funds, or the supply of medicines, equipment, clothing and other necessary items required by the helpless and needy.
